Small Service Manager for Service & Rehab, ANDRITZ Hydropower Germany

20 years, many stations – and a path that didn’t have to be straight to be successful.

Marion Scheffler

My journey at ANDRITZ began in 2005 as an Assistant to the Head of Large Hydro at ANDRITZ Hydropower Germany. I loved the international atmosphere, the contact with customers and colleagues around the world, and the organizational challenges. After the birth of my two sons in 2011 and 2015, the role of Project Assistant suited my life situation better – and ANDRITZ made it possible for me to complete on-the-job training.

Step by step, I took on more responsibility, including technical and commercial aspects and was soon able to support the first Large Hydro Projects in this new role. I am grateful for all the advice that guided me along the way. Later, I became particularly enthusiastic about the Small Service Business – a world where I could make the project my own.

In 2021, I moved to the Service & Rehab division and was supported through a tailored training program that equipped me to lead small projects independently — from sales to delivery. Since 2024, I have been working as a Small Service Manager – and I love it!

“My path wasn’t a straight line, but it was exactly the right one for me. I am thankful to all the colleagues and superiors that paved my way and helped me find the right places and positions over the years! “

ANDRITZ has shown me that development is possible – with trust, openness, and a strong network. To summarize, I feel that ANDRITZ offers a truly solid foundation — built not only on strong company principles, but also on integrity and collaboration of so many inspiring specialists across its vast network. These factors create a space where growth and development can truly flourish.
