Success Story: Hongda Research and ANDRITZ – A partnership built on trust and innovation
For over 20 years, Hongda Research Institute and ANDRITZ have shared a common goal: advancing nonwoven technology
Since its founding in 2001, Hongda has become a leading R&D company in China, driving national innovation projects and delivering cutting-edge solutions worldwide.
The partnership began in 2001, with the first spunbond calender. From that single machine, the collaboration grew rapidly. Today, over 60 calenders from ANDRITZ are in operation within Hongda spunbond line systems, tailored to regional needs. A recent order for five additional calenders marks another milestone, reinforcing a shared commitment serving the Asian and international nonwoven market. Today, this substantial installed base unlocks significant potential for service collaboration, creating new synergies and bringing the companies even closer together operationally.
Mr. Haojie An, General Manager of Hongda Research, states:
“Despite market dynamics, we look positively to the future and trust in ANDRITZ’s reliable portfolio. Our cooperation is built on shared values and innovation.”
Tobias Schäfer, Vice President at ANDRITZ Nonwoven & Textile, adds:
“Hongda’s trust in ANDRITZ solutions demonstrates the strength of our relationship. We are proud to support their growth and look forward to continuing this successful journey.”
Together, Hongda and ANDRITZ remain committed to shaping the future of nonwoven technology - innovating, adapting, and thriving under global challenges.
