History of ANDRITZ (Wuxi) Nonwoven Technology Co. Ltd.

ANDRITZ (Wuxi) Nonwoven Technology has been part of the ANDRITZ Group since 2012. Its history began with production of the first active crosslapper in China in 1997. Today, we look back at more than 15 years’ experience in China.

The company’s history began with the first active crosslapper to be produced and sold in China in 1997, based on the original Asselin technology. By continuously developing its sales and production, especially in cards and crosslappers, the company has expanded its market substantially. It has been part of the ANDRITZ Group since 2012 and opened a technical center at its new facility in Wuxi New District in 2013.

1997    Foundation of the joint venture with Wuxi NSC Hongyuan in Wuxi, China.
             First Asselin active crosslapper produced and sold, based on the
             original Asselin technology.

2003 Production start of CA21 cards

2007 First spunlace line sold including CA21 card and Jetlace Avantage hydroentanglement

2009 Introduction of CA21c cards

2010 Start of industrial production for all sizes of chute feeders TMS/TCF/CFX

2011    Launch of ELITE crosslapper project for manufacturing in China
             Installed base of 110 crosslappers in China
             Installed base of 30 cards from Wuxi in China (and 15 outside of China)

2012 Integration into ANDRITZ GROUP as ANDRITZ (Wuxi) Nonwoven
Technology Co. Ltd.

2013    Relocated to new facility in Wuxi
             Opening of the new technical center, which comprises an industrial scale
             needlepunch line
             Launch of the new grinding shop for roll service
