Flash drying pilot plant
The ANDRITZ flash drying pilot facility in Växjö, Sweden, provides a flexible platform for developing, testing, and optimizing drying solutions for a wide range of fiber and particulate materials.
Following a major renovation and relocation, the facility offers advanced pilot-scale capabilities for customer trials, process validation, operator training, and technology development.
The facility features two dedicated pilot units: a closed-loop dryer with bag filter separation and integrated condenser technology, and a pulp and fiber flash dryer equipped with an ANDRITZ fluffer and cyclone separator.
Designed for customer trials, training, and innovation projects, the facility supports testing with a broad range of materials, including lignin, textile fibers, specialty fibers, biomass, new fiber sources, and other particulate products. Its versatile setup enables customers to evaluate drying performance, product quality, process efficiency, and operational parameters under controlled conditions.
With the capability to conduct both short-term trials and longer development campaigns, the Växjö facility helps customers reduce scale-up risks and accelerate innovation. Whether validating a new material, optimizing an existing process, or exploring new product opportunities, ANDRITZ experts provide the knowledge and support required to transform pilot results into reliable industrial solutions.
From innovative materials to proven processes, the Växjö flash drying pilot facility helps customers develop the drying technologies of tomorrow.
