TRICO - Travel Risk Communication

Stay informed, advised and supported when it matters most, just before departure or during travel.

Target group of this page:

  1. External travelers of ANDRITZ Group companies that book through the CWT travel agency.
(except US and Canadian ANDRITZ companies and those using ANDora)
  2. ANDRITZ persons responsible for the external travelers.

What is it about?

The goal is to ensure that you are well-informed and return home safely.

ANDRTIZ travelers are constantly exposed to potential medical, security and logistical travel risks - tropical diseases, epidemics, adverse weather conditions, floods, heat waves, political instability, protests, crime, travel infrastructure disruptions, airline strikes, etc. - that may result in travel disruptions. Such events can occur anywhere in the world and have the potential to affect the physical and mental health of our travelers. Climate change and shifts in geopolitics are likely to cause more of these travel disruptions and create a more challenging global travel security situation in the future. TRICO is a global travel consolidation tool (GTCT), which consolidates travel data provided by CWT travel agencies used by ANDRITZ Group companies. Based on the travel itinerary TRICO will send out communications with travelers as follows:

Benefits for travelers:

Via TRICO, travelers automatically receive

  • Pre-Travel Advisory Information on prevailing medical, security and logistical risks at their travel destination and advice on how to deal with them

  • ANDRITZ travel instructions and processes

  • Tailored alerts and advice (during travel) on medical and security developments

  • Well-fare check after major crisis (e.g. natural disaster) – to be implemented end of 2026

In a nutshell: TRICO will push customized information to travelers - via email, SMS or push notification on the International SOS Assistance app - at the moment it matters most, which could be just before departure or during a major critical development while traveling.

1.    By external travelers:

Please provide the person at ANDRITZ arranging your travel with the following contact data:

a)    your Last Name and First Name as they appear in your passport (without academic titles)
b)    an e-mail address where we can reach you personally
c)    a mobile-phone number where we can reach you personally

We also strongly recommend that you use the International SOS Assistance App:
The app is connected to TRICO. The app is free. This has the following advantages:

  • If you are using a local SIM card in your destination country, enter the new mobile phone number in your International SOS Assistance app user profile. This will ensure that the phone number is available in “TRICO” for routine and emergency communication. Whenever you use a new mobile phone number in any country (including your home county), you must update it in your profile in the app.
  • The app displays your travel itinerary as booked through the ANDRITZ travel agency (CWT).
  • The app displays travel safety information and advice based on the itinerary booked with CWT.
  • You can voluntarily provide your exact location via a “check-in” feature of the app. As a result, your exact location will be displayed in the “TRICO” for 48 hours. This feature should only be used if a) you are requested to do so by Group Corporate Security, or b) you wish to determine your exact location on a map for your own needs.
  • 24/7 access to ANDRITZ Medical and Security Travel Helplines.

To benefit from this and to ensure efficient communication, you must create a profile in the International SOS Assistance app. You will be automatically guided to this step when you start the app.

If you are an external person with an @andritz.com email, you need to log in to the Assistance app with your @andritz.com email and your ANDRITZ password. Name, email and mobile phone number (if available) will be pre-populated. Click here for the app.

If you do not have an @andritz.com email address:  Make sure you create the user profile in the app with the same email address and spelling of your name that you provide to ANDRITZ for travel arrangements. See points 1 a+b above. Click here for video tutorials.

2.   By ANDRITZ persons who are responsible for external travelers

Please make sure that the above provided contact data (1a - 1c)  is stored in the correct format and in the correct fields in the respective ANDRITZ source system used for external persons.

We (ANDRITZ Group or local ANDRITZ entity) process your personal data (first and last name(s), email address (work and private) and mobile phone number (work and private) from the ANDRITZ Group source systems or directly provided by you) on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), which is to ensure the safety of our employees and any other individuals travelling for or in connection with the ANDRITZ Group. The purpose of processing your personal data is to ensure that you receive relevant information about your travel destination before your trip and to be able to communicate with you in major emergencies. This data will be deleted 12 months after the respective trip. On ANDRITZ Group level a small amount of people from Group Corporate Security, Group HR, and Travel Management have access to the travel itineraries of all ANDRITZ Group travelers globally. On local ANDRITZ company level a small amount of people from similar functions will have access to travel itineraries of travelers belonging to that ANDRITZ company only. To ensure the above mentioned purpose, we may transfer your data to third party service providers (including travel agencies and travel emergency assistance providers). Some of the recipients of your personal data may be located outside of your country, where the level of data protection may not be equivalent to that in your country. However, we only transfer your personal data to such countries when we take measures to ensure that all recipients provide an adequate level of data protection (e.g. we transfer your personal data to countries where the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we enter into appropriate data transfer agreements based on Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914/EC), which are accessible upon request). Under applicable law, you have the right to (under the conditions set out in applicable law): (i) obtain confirmation as to whether and what kind of personal data we store about you and to request copies of such data; (ii) request rectification or erasure of your personal data; (iii) request us to restrict the processing of your personal data; (iv) object to the processing of your personal data; (v) request data portability; and (vi) lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. If you have any questions concerning data protection, please contact your Regional Compliance Officer or send an email to DataProtection@andritz.com.
