Our Spokane facility is equipped with one of the most comprehensive heavy and precision machining setups in North America — capable of handling components from small, high-tolerance parts to massive turbine runners and generator shafts. If your component can fit in our facility, we can machine it.

Public customer – Headcover Rehabilitation

Scope: Replacement of worn facing plates via our 20’ Betts VTL, and precision line-boring of stem bores to restore concentric housings essential for optimal wicket gate performance.

Execution: All machining performed to federal infrastructure tolerances.

Outcome: Delivered on schedule with complete dimensional documentation.

 

Public Customer — Wicket Gate Manufacture

Scope: Full manufacture of wicket gates received as-cast from the foundry.

Execution: Machining included milling via our 4-axis Sacem HBM, turning, and profiling from raw casting through final geometry—covering gate leaf faces, stem bores, and sealing surfaces.

Outcome: Delivered to customer specifications with complete dimensional reports. 

 

 


 

 

Private Customer — Pump Storage Thrust Bearing Runner

Scope: Precision grinding of the thrust bearing runner face.

Execution: Postgrind planekation confirmed flatness and dish within specification. Dowel operations performed to secure final assembly.

Outcome: Refurbishment one of the most critical components in hydro-power generation with high accuracy and reliability.

 


Private Customer — Turbine Shaft Refurbishment

Scope: Refurbishment of turbine shaft and packing sleeve assembly.

Execution: Removal of original castbronze packing sleeves; precision machining of the bearing surface and shaft; installation and final machining of a new stainless steel sleeve.

Outcome: Extended service life with improved corrosion and wear resistance.

Our Spokane facility offers a full range of services including heavy large-bore turning and boring (up to 65" diameter), precision CNC and manual milling, vertical and horizontal boring, welding, fabrication, and on-site field machining. We handle both planned production work and emergency repairs.

Our south bay is equipped with a 75-ton overhead crane with 30 feet of lifting height and dual hoist configuration — enabling us to handle very large and heavy industrial components that most regional shops cannot accommodate.
