Smart Chip Pump EKG is an advanced chip pump monitoring and control system that monitors feed pipe vibration and minimizes hydraulic resonance in the feed pipe and in the impregnation or digester vessel top.

The mechanical vibration level is a key factor that affects the safety and reliability of the chip pumping system. Vibrations occurring during pumping may damage not only the pump but also the piping system, foundation, and supporting structures. If the pumps’ operation frequency coincides with or approaches the natural frequency of the process components, resonance will occur, which leads to excessive vibration levels.

The Smart Chip Pump EKG monitors feed pipe vibration and minimizes hydraulic resonance by adjusting the angle of operation of the pumps relative to each other. Altogether, the system improves the availability and reliability of the chip pumping system, improves the safety of the chip pumping system, and prevents unplanned shutdowns.
