In ANDRITZ NID technology, the lime slurry solution is mixed with recirculating dust before being injected in the so-called J-Duct where the SO2 and other acid gases (SO3, HCl, HF, …) undergo various reactions before being removed from the flue gases. Depending on the flue gases composition and the level of emissions reduction to achieve, an optimized recirculation rate is set before removing the end products in the Fabric Filter or Electro Static Precipitator.
ANDRITZ NID integrated process offers a compact design translating into a reduced footprint. The possibility to use many sorbents enables ANDRITZ NID technology to act as a multi-pollutants control equipment, particularly in industrial applications with fuels having challenging or variable compositions. Also, ANDRITZ is actively collaborating with filter bag manufacturers to offer for selected processes the lowest emissions guarantees and longest bag lifetime in the market.
