Diversity and innovativeness

ANDRITZ is committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion, ensuring fair pay, equal opportunities, and access to personal development. Diversity strengthens our ability to innovate and solve complex challenges. Our approach includes dedicated programs, leadership development initiatives, and training opportunities. Building an inclusive and global workforce

ANDRITZ employs around 30,000 people from more than 80 countries, creating a multicultural environment that fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange. Diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences strengthens our ability to innovate and solve complex challenges.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities, fair pay, and attractive options for personal development. These principles are embedded in our Code of Conduct and Ethics, which prohibits discrimination and ensures fair working conditions across the organization.

Driving diversity through programs and governance

In 2024, ANDRITZ launched its Global Inclusion Program to advance diversity and inclusion through targeted recruitment, employer branding, and succession planning. The program is supported by the Global DEI Committee, a volunteer group representing all business areas that drives awareness, educational initiatives, and inclusive practices across ANDRITZ.

As part of #1ANDRITZway, we have introduced Inclusive Communication masterclasses, expanded intercultural trainings, and integrated employee‑defined core behaviors into performance feedback and leadership expectations. Leaders receive additional support through the 360° Feedback Program and the ALeaders behavior training.

ANDRITZ also monitors broader indicators such as the Equitable Opportunity Index and Inclusive Leader Index. These indices reflect employee perceptions of fairness, inclusion, and leadership behavior across the company. They provide valuable insight into the effectiveness of our DEI initiatives and guide continuous improvement.

Competence development and training

To support an inclusive and future‑ready workforce, ANDRITZ offers training and development programs that enable employees to grow their skills and advance their careers.

Preparing future leaders

The Regional Talent Program serves as the first stepping‑stone in this journey, identifying high‑performing early‑career employees and equipping them with essential management and cross‑cultural competencies. Delivered across all major regions, it builds a shared leadership language, fosters regional networking, and helps participants understand how to apply the #1ANDRITZway in their daily work. This foundation feeds into the Global Talent Program a development initiative lasting up to three years, designed to challenge employees and identify potential future leaders. It includes mentoring, project work, workshops, coaching, networking opportunities, and a structured personal development plan.

Strengthening diversity and equity

The Global Women Mentoring Program strengthens career development by making pathways more visible and accessible. Through structured mentoring relationships, participants gain insight into career opportunities, leadership development, and skills enhancement.  ANDRITZ also offers a broad DEI learning portfolio, including training on inclusive communication, intercultural awareness, and managing bias in hiring. These learning formats help build inclusive leadership capabilities across the organization.

Ensuring excellence in execution

Employees working in project‑critical roles benefit from comprehensive capability‑building as well. The global Project Management Development Program provides a harmonized framework of training, certification pathways, and applied learning designed to ensure consistent project execution across all business areas. For colleagues working at construction, installation, and commissioning sites, the Site Personnel Career Path offers a structured progression from supervisory roles to certified site management, combining formal training with on‑the‑job experience and regular feedback cycles.
