ANDRITZ at IDEA 2022
The largest industrial nonwovens converting exhibition in the Americas will again be held in sunny state Florida, March 28-31, 2022
At IDEA 2022 in Miami Beach, you will have the opportunity to see, touch, and feel results of ANDRITZ nonwoven technologies. At booth 4104, you can discover new business opportunities and re-discover proven solutions with our experts. And there is a lot to discover. On 163 sqm, we will present an optimal mix of our production technology for hygiene, medical, wipes, durables, and recycling.
State-of-the-art production processes for hygiene nonwovens
In a continuously changing nonwovens market, the demands of first-class nonwovens production are increasing constantly – lower production costs, higher capacities and speeds, improved product quality as well as sustainable and intelligent production, to name but a few. ANDRITZ provides first-class , spunlaid, spunjet, spunlace, Wetlace™, Wetlace ™ CP, air-through bonding, hygiene converting, and recycling technologies and corresponding services to meet these demands for years to come.
Plastic-free disposable products - based on ANDRITZ Wetlace™ and Wetlace™ CP technology.
An important focus of ANDRITZ is production technologies for the manufacture of plastic-free or plastic-reduced nonwoven end-products, taking into account the cost-effective input materials for numerous market segments
With its advanced Wetlace™ CP technology, ANDRITZ is already able to provide its customers with complete lines for the production of low-cost wipes, 100% meeting end-users' demand for environmentally friendly disposable products. The two-ply carded-pulp consistency provides the basis for numerous applications and can also be flexibly extended to 3 or more plies, depending on product requirements.
With the Wetlace for flushable wipes, ANDRITZ also offers a premium technology for biodegradable wipes that are also flushable and dispersible.

Hygiene converting for the youngest and the elderly
ANDRITZ will also present its baby diaper and adult hygiene converting lines at IDEA 2022. Both address markets with strong growth potential. Firstly, in regions with an increasing number of elderly people, such as Europe, Japan, and North America, and secondly, in regions with a very young average age, such as Africa and large parts of the Asian region.
ANDRITZ's technology brand D-TECH for the production of high-quality disposables for personal hygiene is synonymous with productivity, flexibility, efficiency, and product quality. D-TECH adult pant and D-TECH baby diaper are two of the flagship products and will therefore be in focus at IDEA in Miami.
Great comeback of textile waste - performed by ANDRITZ recycling technology
IDEA 2022 is the ideal stage for the theme of textile recycling. Complete reprocessing lines create the basis for the reuse of natural fibers such as denim. ANDRITZ offers the connection technology for this, e.g. in the spunlace, wetlace™, or needlepunch technology sectors, or for processing yarns into new textile production. Recycling is a key issue that serves both to reduce the cost of materials used and to improve the in-house CO2 balance.
