History of ANDRITZ TEP in Slavonski Brod, Croatia

1926 – The factory built the first steam locomotive, “Sava”, for narrow track railway lines. This year can therefore be considered the year in which the production of steam boiler plants began.

1952 – A contract was concluded with the well-known company Babcock & Wilcox on business and technical cooperation in the field of engineering, production, and the erection of power plants. The factory employed 2,500 workers and clerks.

1969 – Up to this year, the factory had been producing boiler plants for mines, steel factories, and other factories for various kinds of fuels: oil-fired boilers, auxiliary flue gas marine boilers, various kinds of angle tube boilers, and utilization boilers. Đuro Đaković became the largest manufacturer of Steambloc boilers in the world. Its share in the former state’s total boiler production was 25%. Đuro Đaković employed  5,575 workers. ĐĐ welders became the best welders in the country by far.

1980: “ĐĐ” became recognized as a manufacturer of capital objects around the globe. The company worked on nuclear power plants in the Soviet Union, and manufactured boilers and building power plants in various countries such as China, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. All entities of Đuro Đaković employed a total of 16,339 workers – the highest number of employees since the factory was founded.

Đuro Đaković TEP was privatized in the 1990s and is now no longer part of the Đuro Đaković Group. At the beginning of the 21st century, it was briefly owned by Babcock in Germany, but soon afterwards became part of Austrian Energy & Environment (AE&E).

2012 – Production, transport, erection and commissioning of boilers and boiler equipment for biomass and waste to energy power plants in Great Britain, Finland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria…

2015 – EPC contractor providing complete solutions for biomass and waste to energy power plants

2022 – Part of the ANDRITZ GROUP and registered under the name ANDRITZ TEP d.o.o.
