Fluid bed drying system FDS

The fluid bed drying system with direct feeding converts dewatered sludge into almost dust-free granules with > 90% DS. The thermal heat for evaporation of the water is transferred indirectly by a heat exchanger immersed in the fluid bed. The fluid bed dryer is integrated into an inert gas loop system.

The rotary drum dryer is suitable for drying woody biomass, agricultural products, and municipal solid waste (MSW). This type of fluid bed is used for salts and minerals, as well as for basic chemical products, mainly for lower line capacities. It is characterized by the vibrating design of the fluid bed to enhance fluidization of the products with a wide particle size distribution range.

Fluid bed spray granulation SGS

The spray granulation process converts a water-containing solution, paste or suspension or a melt into a granule. The granulation and the drying processes take place at the same time. Any kind of crystallization and mechanical dewatering equipment can be replaced by an SGS type fluid bed. The final product granules are dust-free and easy to handle.

Drum drying system DDS

The ANDRITZ drum drying system, DDS, dries and granulates different types of municipal, industrial, and agricultural sludges. The dewatered sludge is granulated in a mixer tailored to the application. It is then dried in the triple-pass drum (three concentric cylinders revolving around a joint axis) in a convective drying process to < 10% residual moisture. The sludge is conveyed pneumatically by the stream of hot gases, ensuring an evenly dried, pasteurized product.
