Pivotal role of ADuro S Secondary Shredder
EING has more than 30 years of experience in recycling post-consumer packaging. Following a technical upgrade at its plant in Gescher, an ADuro S-2400 secondary shredder from ANDRITZ is now at the heart of its process. Easy to run, operate and maintain, this machine delivers an impressive average hourly throughput of 10 tons, reducing RDF material down to 20 millimeters, which is ideal for the cement industry.
The investment has provided a significant boost to EING’s efficiency: “By replacing two older machines with a single unit featuring a 2.4-meter* cutting length, EING has streamlined its operations without sacrificing capacity,” says Bernhard Schachinger, Head of Product Management, ANDRITZ Recycling.
The technology has certainly had the opportunity to prove itself at EING, as Torben Vollmer, Product Manager, EING explains: “The ADuro S has already achieved more than 10,000 operating hours, consistently delivering reliable output quality and stable performance.”
The ADuro S represents the next generation in secondary shredding (the ADuro P is ANDRITZ’s technology for shredding primary materials). Designed for use with RDF, municipal solid waste (MSW), solid recovered fuels (SRF), plastics, and both commercial and industrial waste, it is durable and flexible while minimizing energy consumption.
