Since then, more than 2,200 hydropower units with a total capacity of 12 GW have been installed or rehabilitated. Today, the ANDRITZ Hydro operation in Italy is responsible not only for the domestic market, but also for many Markets in South America, especially Peru and Chile, and South Europe (Portugal and Spain).

ANDRITZ Hydro is one of the globally leading suppliers of electromechanical equipment and services for hydropower plants. With over 180 years of experience and an installed fleet of more than 471 GW output, the business area provides complete solutions for hydropower plants of all sizes as well as services for plant diagnosis, refurbishment, modernization and upgrade of existing hydropower assets. ANDRITZ Hydro Italy has a leading position in the Service Market of Italy and Chile, Spain and Portugal, Peru and Bolivia and is providing hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and services for hydropower plants, power subsystems and digital services with its O&M department, all over the world and in collaboration with the other ANDRITZ locations.
Location
ANDRITZ Hydro Italy can count on experienced employees and one facility located in Schio (VI), whose mechanical and assembly workshop covers 1.500 square meters with 6 cranes up to 80 tons, plus a storage area of 1.000 square meters and an electrical engineering laboratory of 210 square meters.
The GCC (Global Control Center) located in Schio is the beating heart of ANDTIZ O&M global that, connected with the LMCs (Local monitoring Centers) around the world, create a digital infrastructure within Andritz Hydro and a direct connection with the customer’s assets.
Constant interaction and training with ANDRITZ Hydro’s locations and customers worldwide, make ANDRITZ Italy a crossroads and innovation hub.

Global Control Center – GCC
ANDRITZ Hydro Control Center for our O&M activities is operating in Schio featuring advanced monitoring, control services and data analytics. It is based on the Metris DiOMera platform and is available for the whole ANDRITZ Hydro Group as it can be remotely connected to hydropower installations worldwide.
